The ProiezionidiBorsa Experts warn readers that INPS asks for more contributions to retire some workers. The contribution years represent a real torment for those who want to receive pension treatment as soon as possible. We all know that the worker with the highest contribution seniority will be able to receive a higher monthly allowance. The concern of many taxpayers, on the other hand, arises from having job careers with holes, interruptions, periods of unemployment. This causes a reduction in the contribution amount and consequently forces the time of retirement to be postponed for a few years.
To get an idea of the positive impact of contributory seniority on the pension accrual, we invite you to read some calculation simulations. You will find an example of this in the article “How much pension is received with 40 years of contributions? “. On the other hand, when the INPS asks for more contributions to retire some workers, it actually forces them to stay longer in service. We refer specifically to the category of priests from which the social security institution demands an increase in the contribution to be paid annually.
The INPS asks for more contributions to retire some workers
To accurately identify the category of workers which the INPS imposes an increase in the contribution, it is necessary to read the Law Decree of 23 July 2020. The inter-ministerial decree concerns the adjustment of the contributions that must be paid by subjects with registration in the Clergy Social Security Fund. It follows that priests and priests who pay into the clergy pension fund managed by INPS will have to pay more contributions. The annual contribution increase is 1.1% and is retroactive starting from January 1, 2019.
Compared to the € 1,741.08 per year, € 1,760.24 will have to be paid, or a sum equal to € 146.69 per month. The balance that weighs on the portfolio of the ecclesiastics who have already paid last year will therefore amount to 19.16 euros on an annual basis. Therefore, in relation to the contributions that must be paid between January 1, 2019 and December 31, 2020, the priest must pay 1.59 euros per month.
