1-0 win against Gangwon FC on the 9th
Jeju United (hereafter referred to as Jeju) reported their first win in six games of the season.
Jeju won 1-0 against Gangwon FC thanks to Seo Jin-soo’s preemptive goal in the 30th minute of the second half in the 6th round away game of ‘Hanawon Q K League 1 2023’ held at Chuncheon Songam Sports Town at 7:00 pm on the 9th.
With the victory, Jeju secured 5 points from 1 win, 2 draws and 3 losses.
Jeju scored the first goal with a right-footed shot 31 minutes into the second half after Seo Jin-soo, who was put in as a substitute card, broke Gangwon’s defensive line. Jeju, who got the chance to win, succeeded in hunting for the first win of the season by avoiding Gangwon’s pursuit.
Manager Ki-il Nam, who succeeded in reversing the atmosphere through the first win of the season, said, “It is always difficult to start. There was pressure for the first win, but today’s victory gave the players more confidence.”
Jeju will have an away match against Suwon Samsung at the Suwon World Cup Stadium on the 15th at 2:00 p.m. K League 1 2023 Round 7. Jeju is determined to secure a bridgehead to advance to the top ranks through a winning streak.
Suwon Samsung is currently at the bottom of the 12 clubs with 2 draws, 4 losses and 2 points after 6 rounds.
