The populations of Medouneu organized a peaceful march on Tuesday April 4, 2023, to challenge the authorities on the state of the roads in their city.
Located in the department of Haut-Komo, in the province of Woleu-Ntem, the inhabitants, tired of the many promises of the government, demonstrated with signs on which one could read messages such as: “ Medouneu cut off from the rest of Gabon”, “No road, no vote in Medouneu”, “the population of Medounoise asks for the road” and many others. The latter claim “the construction of a real road passable in all seasons “, we learn on the site Gabon Review.
Indeed, these inhabitants of Medouneu say they have been abandoned by the government, because for several years the roads have been impassable “The state of the Medouneu road remains difficult, to believe that the emergence only concerns Greater Libreville and not the provinces and the main towns “. entrust the latter who stressed that there will be no vote in Medouneu if the roads are still in these defective states.
However, the populations of Medouneu after this demonstration, hope that their various claims will be awaited by the government.
