“In my opinion, what is driving world coal is the situation in China and India. So maybe it won’t be too affected if there are weather predictions in Europe and America, it won’t really affect demand or price movements for coal from Southeast Asia,” he said in the Mining Zone program. , quoted Friday (22/9/2023).
Likewise, Special Staff to the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Irwandy Arif, said that he believes that weather conditions or winter in America and Europe have no influence on coal prices in Indonesia. Moreover, many of Indonesia’s coal export destinations have been to countries in Asia.
“So whether in China, in India, in several other Asian countries, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, and so on. So here the influence, if any, is very small,” he added.
