Police charged the woman on Wednesday, police spokeswoman Martina Korandová told Novinka on Friday.

According to her, police officers warned the child of the child’s injuries.

“Police officers from the regional directorate accused the 24-year-old woman of serious injuries,” Korandová said, adding that the child had a seriously injured head.

The police did not provide further details on the case due to the beginning of the investigation. She also did not specify the sex of the child and the day he was in hospital.

The accused mother faces up to 12 years in prison due to the fact that the child is injured. She is being investigated at large.
