Players and officials Indonesian National team who was the runner-up AFF Cup 2020 got prize money as well as a total bonus of IDR 2.5 billion.
PSSI Secretary General Yunus Nusi said the Rp 2.5 billion money given to Indonesian national team players and officials was a combination of the 2020 AFF Cup prize money of US $ 100 thousand and bonuses from a number of people.
Yunus said PSSI decided to first bail out the prize money for being the runner-up of the 2020 AFF Cup, which will only be disbursed at the end of January or early February 2022.
“The AFF Cup prize should come out at the end of January or February, only Rp1.4 billion has been disbursed. I told the PSSI Chairman [Mochamad Iriawan], I melt first. This is the one from the AFF Cup. So the status given to players is from AFF,” said Yunus.
“Bonus from PSSI? Not yet. We’re still looking at PSSI’s finances. Right, there’s IDR 100 million from Endri Erawan, IDR 500 million from Sumardji, then the one from Gilang [Widya Pramana] IDR 500 million. This is a lot they can. If the national team wins even more,” Yunus said.
Yunus also ensured that PSSI would also provide its own bonus for the Indonesian national team, although he could not confirm when it would be given.
Regarding the portion of money earned by Indonesian national team players, Yunus said that each player will get the same amount. Different amounts will be obtained by Indonesian National Team officials.
“Proportionate. Players, if I’m not mistaken, IDR 38 million. This is divided by all those involved in the team, 54 people if I’m not mistaken. If the players are all equal, the difference is officials, media, then security, it’s different. So the total is IDR 2, 5 billion,” said Yunus.
