The Indonesian National Team Holds a Draw with The Golden Star, Vietnamese Media Annoyed by Ricky Kambuaya’s Behavior: Okezone Bola

SINGAPORE – The Indonesian National Team (Timnas) Vietnam drew in the third match of Group B AFF Cup 2020. After the match, the Vietnamese media, Soha.vn was annoyed with the behavior of the Garuda squad, Ricky Kambuaya, who was considered to be stalling for time.

Soha.vn highlighted the incident at minute 92. At that time, Ricky lay down and needed medical attention after colliding with Nguyen Hoang Duc. Ricky was later accused of acting and only pretending to be sick at the time.

“If judged by acting, maybe the Indonesian player with number 15, Kambuaya deserves a score of 10/10,” the media wrote in its news, reported Friday (12/17/2021).

After the incident, Ricky was pulled out on a stretcher. Indonesia was forced to continue the match with 10 players because the substitution quota had run out.

After being pulled out, Soha.vn then blasphemed Ricky because he was judged to look fine or not injured. It was alleged that Kambuaya’s actions were deliberate so that the match was temporarily suspended.

“Once he’s off the pitch. Kambuaya raised his head. His face was calm as if it had never been hurt. He immediately jumped when the stretcher came down,” he wrote.

“Kambuaya bought almost a minute and a half for Indonesia. The second half got three minutes of compensation time, but they kept stalling.”
