TNews, BOLMONG – The Health Office (Dinkes) and the Datoe Binangkang Regional General Hospital (RSUD-DB) Bolaang Mongondow (Bolmong) Regency received a visit from the Ministry of Health’s (Kemenkes) Malaria Assessment Team, Wednesday (09/09/2020).
Head of the Bolmong Health Office, Erman Paputungan, through the Head of Disease Management and Control (P2P) Yusuf Datu, said that the visit of the Ministry of Health was in the context of malaria elimination in the Bolaang Mongondow area.
Bolaang Mongondow said he had met the requirements for eliminating malaria, where in the last 3 years, there were no indigenous cases (local transmission), 0.02% Annual Paracite Insidence (requirements less than 1%) and positive slide rate 2.41% (<5% requirement) .
“The agenda of the visit includes the presentation of the Head of Health Office and review of malaria elimination administrative documents, visits to the RSUD-DB laboratory as a referral hospital for malaria cases, and reviewing the district pharmacy warehouse,” said Yusuf.
Meanwhile, the Managing Director of RSUD Datoe Binangkang Debby Kulo said the visit was also to see the readiness of RSUD-DB Bolmong in treating patients with .alaria disease.
“In terms of facilities, human resources and other support, we are feasible,” said Debby.
Even though it is feasible, his party is still improving the competence of human resources in terms of specific analysis of malaria examinations.
“For medicines, we continue to cooperate with the Bolmong Health Office regarding the demand for malaria drugs,” he said.
Just to note that the visiting team of the Indonesian Ministry of Health’s Malaria Elimination Assessment Commission was directly chaired by dr. Desriana Elizabeth Ginting MARS, accompanied by Drs. Sabar Paulus, Istiqamah S.ST, M.Kes (BLLK Makassar), Priyanto SE, and Nova Ratu SKM, M.Kes Dinles, North Sulawesi Province.
