KOMPAS.com – Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Trader Salahuddin Uno made sure travel bubble between Indonesia and Singapore will be piloted on January 24, 2022.
“After we concluded, on January 24 the travel bubble scheme for Batam-Bintan will be operated,” said Sandiaga in a press release Saturday (23/1/2022).
This decision was taken after Sandiaga attended a travel bubble discussion meeting at the Angsana Hotel, Bintan, Riau Islands, Friday (21/1/2022), and inspected the two travel bubble zones in the area. Riau Islands, namely Nongsa, Batam and Lagoi, Bintan.
Later, this travel bubble travel scheme will be included in a Circular that will be issued by the Covid-19 Handling Task Force.
“We ask for the support of the community and the tourism and creative economy industry players to comply with the Health protocol, including integration with PeduliLindung,” said Sandiaga.
According to Sandiaga, foreign tourists from Singapore have very strategic prospects in an effort to revive the national economy and tourism, especially in the Riau Islands.

“We have prepared the Riau Islands safe travel bubble tourism for more than a year with the Governor and at this time we can say that Lagoi and Nongsa are very ready as a bubble zone for Singaporean tourists,” said Sandiaga.
With this travel bubble trial, Sandiaga hopes that it will open up the widest possible employment opportunities. In addition, it also gives a positive signal that Indonesia is able to handle the Covid-19 pandemic well and under control.
