Georgy Vitsin was one of the most talented actors of his time. One of his unique abilities was the ability to play a person both much younger than his years and much older. In one of the artist’s paintings, even the most loyal fans did not recognize him: makeup and acting skills transformed him beyond recognition.
In the film “Maxim Perepelitsa” Vitsin played together with Leonid Bykov. Georgy Mikhailovich got the role of grandfather Musiy, although he was 37 years old at that time. It is impossible to guess that the actor is only 10 years older than Bykov – he got used to his role so much.
Grandfather Musiy was undoubtedly remembered by the audience. It was he who constantly shouted: “Shut up!” According to the plot, he was at least 60 years old, and in appearance one could give all 90. It is very difficult to recognize a popular artist in an old man’s make-up – only his eyes betray him. Only a true genius could play like that.
