It has become the privileged recipient of Carsat Sud-Est… to its great misfortune. For more than a year, an inhabitant of Escragnolles has indeed received hundreds of letters from retirement insurance, says the regional daily. Nice morning. Problem: these letters do not concern him. “At the beginning, we opened them, of course, details this retiree from the country of Grasse. Each time the social security numbers, the names, even the addresses when they are specified, are different”.

A nightmarish situation for this inhabitant of the Grasse region. “All these letters come from the South-East retirement insurance fund in Marseille,” her friend tells Nice-Matin. “We received about three to four per quarter”. In an attempt to resolve the problem, she wrote a letter on February 16. The same day, they received 119 envelopes from Carsat bearing his name and address. “He came in laughing and said, ‘Here, they just answered you!'”, She remembers.

Manipulation error

In total, the retiree received nearly 1.2 kg of mail. It is thus impossible to find, in the midst of all his letters, those which are really addressed to him. Worse, he receives reminders for beneficiaries who have never received the files and have therefore never responded. “What really struck me was this file concerning a lady born in 1926 to whom we sent a document to fill out with a request for a survivor’s pension. She had three months to respond! There I took my phone and I called Carsat de Marseille directly in the hope that this time it would be settled, “explains the Escragnollois.

A phone call for nothing: the letters continued to arrive, the last date of March 19. Faced with this situation, he decides to alert the media. A call that seems to have been heard, details Nice-Matin since an employee of Carsat came to collect all the lost letters on Friday March 26.

The files will be treated urgently to catch up this error which would be due to a bad handling in favor of a change of address of a tutelary association. Carsat Sud-Est apologized for this “extremely rare case” and claims to have “never been faced with such a problem”.
