The skier who hit a 7-year-old child on a ski slope in Bansko today is a 15-year-old girl, bTV has learned. Both girls are from Romania.
The injured child was on the slopes with a ski instructor, and the older one with his father.
The impact was at high speed and the 7-year-old girl fell unconscious. First in place of the serious accident is Georgi Botev, lifeguard on duty from the PSS.
“I found the child unconscious and not breathing. There were people around him who were almost in a panic, they didn’t know how to react,” said the rescuer.
He administered first aid to the child until the medical team arrived.
The girl was rushed away in the hospital in Razlog, but his condition made it necessary to be transferred to Sofia – to “Pirogov”. He was admitted to the emergency hospital with multiple injuries.
