The incidence has so far been the basis for many corona restrictions in the pandemic. However, as the vaccination rate increases, it becomes less meaningful. The federal government and the states are therefore looking for a new basis for their decisions – but have not yet been able to reach an agreement. In addition, 88 new infections are reported for Düsseldorf today – around 50 more than a week ago today. According to current statistics, around 500 people in our city are considered Corona-positive. 29 of the infected are treated in hospitals, 5 of them in intensive care units. At the end of May, the hospital numbers were many times higher with a similar incidence. The RKI does not report any new deaths today.
