SANTANDER, 22 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The incidence of Covid-19 cases in people over 60 years of age per 100,000 inhabitants continues its constant rise in Cantabria, more pronounced than the previous days this Tuesday, when the number of new positives has also continued to rise. However, there is one less person hospitalized for coronavirus.
According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health, corresponding to the end of June 21, there have been 120 new cases of coronavirus in people over 60 years of age – the only group for which positive and incidence data are offered -, which are 19 more than the day before.
In the last week, 568 positives have been detected among the aforementioned group, which rises to 1,040 if the previous one is also taken into account.
This Tuesday there are 35 hospitalized, one less than on Monday. Thus, the occupation of beds has dropped two tenths compared to the previous day, to 2.3%, although the rate of admissions to seven days has risen 1.4 points, to 13.9.
In the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), five patients continue to be admitted, with which the occupation continues at 3.5%, although the seven-day admission rate has dropped two tenths, to 0.7.

Of the total, there are 24 patients at the Marqués de Valdecilla University Hospital, including the five from the ICU; seven in the Sierrallana Hospital in Torrelavega; and four in the Comarcal de Laredo.
For its part, the incidence of coronavirus in people over 60 years of age has rebounded more strongly than in previous days, both at 14 days, with 594 cases per one hundred thousand inhabitants, which is 23 more than the day before; about seven days, with 324 cases, which is 15 more.
In the last few hours, Health has not reported any more deaths from Covid-19, with which the fatalities that the pandemic has left in the community remain at 910.
