The Italian city of Polignano Mare celebrates Palestinian culture over a period of four days, from 4 to 6 August, and the organizing committee announced in a statement, “The inaugural edition of the “Palestinian Cultural Days” will be entirely dedicated to the personality of the poet Mahmoud Darwish, the literary icon who inspired generations of intellectuals. and artists around the world.”
The event opens in the historic Piazza San Benedetto with the unveiling of the memorial plaque dedicated to the memory of the late poet, in the presence of “exceptional guests who shared Darwish with deep friendship, and contributed to the publication of his works at the international level, among them the Lebanese artist Marcel Khalife”…
The committee said, “This moment is of great importance and distinctive significance, and the four days will witness cultural events, meetings, lectures, poetry evenings, and musical performances that celebrate the poet, and introduce the Italian public to Palestinian culture better. The well-known international music group “Radiodervish” participates in this cultural event. The Palestinian singer Sana Moussa, the Mediterranean music group “La Cantiga de la serena”, and a large number of intellectuals and artists from around the world.
