If you read us regularly you know that in Andro4all we are fans of photography. We have published extensive articles talking about the subject, some dealing with the best photography apps, others serving as guides to make the most of mobile photography. And with the photographic power of today’s smartphones, it is impossible not to do so.
In this case we are not going to talk about phones or applications, but about the winning photographs of the Nature TTL contest focused on nature photography. There are images that, as it could not be otherwise, are truly impressive and say a lot about the talent of their authors. It is worth not missing them.
These are the winning photos of the contest
These are the 18 chosen, but in total more than 8,000 images have been sent to this year’s competition. Nature photographers from around the world have competed for the main prize of £1,500, plus other juicy prizes if they emerged winners in eight categories, namely:
Animal behavior.Camera traps.Landscapes.Small world.Night sky.Underwater.Urban wildlife.Wild portraits.
The overall winner was Thomas Vijayan, a Canadian photographer who won the award after photographing the Austfonna ice sheet, capturing the impact of global warming on the third largest frozen sheet in the world. The photograph also took first prize in the landscape category.
In general, the photographers who have entered the contest have done an impressive job. Not only because of the quality of their snapshots, but because of what they have been willing to do to get them. The winner of the young category, Lucy Monckton, allowed herself to be completely covered in bees. The overall winner composed the photo of her after having taken 35 different photos to the ice sheet.
The deadline to submit to the next contest will open during January 2024. We assume that we will see photographs as impressive as those that accompany this article.
