With towering skyscrapers that offer vantage points like the Top of The Rock, One World Observatory and the Empire State Building, travelers are spoiled for choice.

However, a new player arrived in October 2021, and offers an enhanced experience. SUMMIT One Vanderbilt has quickly become a benchmark for people looking to experience a moment like no other.

People looking for THE place to take pictures will have to prioritize this new point of view.

Perched over 1,401 feet in the air, One Vanderbilt is one of the tallest buildings in New York City. How is it different from other observation posts in town? Well, SUMMIT One Vanderbilt defies convention by providing a multi-sensory experience for its visitors with art installations, a room filled with mirrors, glass boxes that make it appear to float and more.

During your visit, you will be required to cross several floors and several rooms. All offer a distinct experience.

First floor: Transcendence

An elevator transports you to the 91st floor of the building. Visitors land in a huge glass room filled with mirrors. It is here that you will have the pleasure of observing the architectural emblems of the city such as the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building.

Reflect

After Transcendence 1, check out ‘Reflect’, a small piece that features an art installation by Yayoi Kusama named ‘Clouds’.

Affinity

From Reflect, visitors disembark into one of the most beautiful rooms on the tour. Affinity features a room filled with floating balloons. The cameras are going to this place!

Go to the 2nd floor for Transcendence 2

After having fun with the balloons, visitors win Transcendence 2. Like Transcendence 1, find the mirrors, but from a higher vantage point.

Levitation

Leviation offers two completely glazed areas called “sky boxes” over 1000 feet above the street. Photos are not permitted in glass areas.

Unity

A favorite during our visit, Unity offers a space where digital art is in the spotlight. You’ll feel like you’re flying through the sky with this interactive projection.
