A simple change that is almost imperceptible for many can be a great change for others. WhatsApp has decided to correct one of its most annoying details.

Most messaging and social networking applications present videos and photos in a reduced form. These visuals don’t look complete until the person clicks on them and opens them to see them larger. WhatsApp has started to correct this design so that the photos are seen in full, without cropping.
It is an option that seeks to reduce the space occupied by videos and photographs within a chat conversation. This allows users to see much of the conversation at a glance without these elements taking up much of the space on the screen and the application window.
However, cropping the photo or video can interfere with the content of the conversation. An image is worth a thousand words that are usually said, that is why users turn to emoticons, gifs and photographs to reply to other messages. If these items cannot be fully seen, some of the effect is lost.
Here we see an example of this effect. The meaning and context that you intend to find with that photograph or video will be more resounding thanks to that full vision. Users will not have to do anythinga, simply update the application with the next versions until this news reaches your device and you perceive the change.
In the same way, this new design can be a very great benefit for companies that use WhatsApp Business as a method of communication with their customers. The Facebook application is putting all its efforts to improve this business service.
Now testing on Android and iOS: when you Tweet a single image, how the image appears in the Tweet composer is how it will look on the timeline –– bigger and better. pic.twitter.com/izI5S9VRdX

It is not the only application that reduces your photos and that you plan to stop doing so, Twitter also wants to try a similar function. “Sometimes it is better to say it with an image or a video” explains the social network. Until now, users played with that cropped approach to display images in a funnier way. A trick that can no longer be performed if this change is made permanent.
