We all know the benefits of paying attention to dental hygiene, as the rules for brushing at least twice a day and continuing the process for a period of no less than two minutes are known rules, but one of the experts highlighted a new rule that must be paid attention to, which is to wet the brush before putting the paste on it because of its benefit in getting rid of from yellowing.
Dentist Payal Bhalla said that wetting the toothbrush before applying toothpaste on it is necessary for several reasons:
Wetting the bristles helps distribute toothpaste more effectively, ensuring better coverage of tooth surfaces, and more thorough removal of plaque. Wetting the toothbrush softens the bristles, making the brushing experience gentler on gums and tooth enamel and reducing the risk of irritation or damage. Moisture helps activate toothpaste ingredients, making them more effective at fighting bacteria and maintaining oral hygiene. Wetting the brush before brushing “prevents aggressive brushing” which can lead to enamel erosion and gum recession. The moisture on the bristles can also help create a lather when combined with toothpaste, which helps remove residue, plaque and food particles.
