Most people think that the more outdoor and publicly accessible space there is around housing estates – i.e. sidewalks, parks, parking lots, playgrounds – the better the quality and good feeling of living there. Adam Gebrian doesn’t think so. It should not be a transit and utility space, but a space where you like to spend time.
