Film jury sessions can be tough at times. Hours of viewing, plus endless discussions, mostly going in circles, opinions clash, one argues. Fisticuffs are rather rare. A nice example of how something like this can escalate was shown recently Maria Furtwängler on Instagram from the Frauenfilmfest. The picture shows the “Tatort” commissioner with filmmaker Helke Sander and fellow actress Sara Fazilat in an apparently not at all amical exchange. “Thank you for the harmonious jury work,” posts Furtwangler.
