Rahmah Safitria Meutia, Sp.PD-KGer, FINASIM explained that elderly people who enjoy doing elderly exercise have been proven to make their bodies fitter compared to elderly people who rarely exercise. Apart from that, there are various other benefits that elderly people can feel when they regularly do elderly exercise, one of which is making them happy.

Not only that, Rahmah revealed that there are various other benefits that elderly people can feel when they regularly do elderly exercise. Starting from improving fitness by stimulating or increasing cardio-respiration, so that the function of the heart and lungs becomes better. Then, elderly exercise can also increase immunity because the exercise of immune cells gets better.
“Third, it can increase muscle strength and bone health. Usually people who exercise are more alert in one set when walking because their muscles are still strong. “Other benefits include increasing our stability, preventing the risk of falls, and increasing body flexibility, as well as avoiding or controlling blood sugar levels and blood pressure so that we can avoid the risk of heart disease or stroke,” he explained.
Then diligently exercising and physical activity such as elderly exercise is also said to be able to control blood cholesterol and sugar levels.
