“I just bought three drinks and lost 12 euros because of the guarantee. I certainly want to pay for that, I have no problem with that,” says a visitor. “But when I wanted to return my cups, I didn’t know where to go. This must be clearly indicated, and also that different models are used. Because, I can imagine that not everyone knows that.”
Other Gentse Feesten-goers see it as less of a problem. A young father lets his daughter carry the empty cups. “We bring them back to where they came from, I think that’s a very clear system. And last year it was already the same in many places. It has never been the case that one cup could be used everywhere.”
