In the course of observing thousands of patients of various ages, experts have found that skipping breakfast completely is a serious threat to health and well-being. First of all, not eating in the morning leads to a slower metabolism, which makes you gain weight faster. If you do not replenish the supply of nutrients and microelements after a night’s rest, the body experiences a certain stress, which gives impetus to the “oxidation” of cells. By itself, skipping breakfast cannot quickly provoke illnesses, but it weakens the immune system and therefore the risks of dangerous ailments increase.
In the course of observations of centenarians, it was also found that they are accustomed to having a hearty breakfast every day. At the same time, breakfast should contain as many nutrients as possible. These are the rules that most of the surveyed long-livers adhere to – in the morning you must definitely eat protein (eggs or lean meat), as well as light carbohydrates – whole grains, bran bread, vegetables. You can also supplement your morning meal with fruits or berries (but only after the main meal, so as not to irritate the intestines – this will give the body an additional “portion” of antioxidants.
