Days before the Croatia national team faced the Turkish national team in the European Nations League qualifiers, the Croatian Football Association decided to donate to the State of Turkey in order to support it in its recent crisis after a devastating earthquake struck the Turkish and Syrian lands.
Croatia will visit Turkey on March 28th at Crocodile Arena in the preliminary round of the Euro 2024 qualifiers, then play the second leg on October 23rd in Croatia.
“Turkey is our sporting rival but more than that our sporting friend, we pray for their strength. Every life saved is a small comfort in these terrible moments,” said Marian Kostić, president of the Croatian Federation.
