Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The former Egyptian player and football analyst, Mohamed Aboutrika, saw that his compatriot, Mohamed Salah, was committed to his contract with Liverpool, England, and did not fulfill his dream of winning the Golden Ball, in the context of his comment on news about the Saudi club Ittihad Jeddah’s offer to include the player.
Aboutrika said in the analytical studio of the Liverpool-Newcastle match on the “Bein Spots” channel: “On the individual level for the club, it is irreplaceable… The American club owners must close the door if they do not like the behavior of the Saudi clubs and the disbursement of the Saudis.”
The Egyptian analyst added, “The Liverpool administration may say that no one will pay 150 million pounds in the future in order to sign a 32-year-old player, but the problem is a technical one.”
And Abu Trika added: “On a personal level, and this is not known, I know that Salah is committed to his contract and wants to stay in Liverpool, and he may think about the attractive financial offer, but he did not achieve his true dream.”
The former Egyptian player indicated that the dream of the Liverpool winger is to achieve the Golden Ball and indicated that he “will move away from achieving the Golden Ball” if he moves to Saudi Arabia.
Aboutrika said that Liverpool’s current situation does not help Salah achieve the Golden Ball, but it is possible in the next two seasons, indicating that the money may push Salah to consider offering United Jeddah Club.
