The Immortals is one of the great fantasy movies of the 80s, and with a cast featuring Christopher Lambert, Sean Connery and Clancy Brown, it won millions of fans around the world. Millions of fans who now remain attentive to the new film of which its director, Chad Strahelski (John Wick) has left new details.
Who works in the new installment of The Immortals?
Along with Strahelski, a renowned actor has joined and in recent years has been on everyone’s lips like Henry Cavill, who after leaving The Witcher series is now more relieved with work. The British actor is undoubtedly a great claim for the film, especially for younger potential viewers who do not know the saga, having also confessed to being a “big fan” of the film.
But in addition, Strahelski has left more details and has revealed what this new installment of The Immortals will be about. As he has explained, it will not be a remake of the original film, but a prequel to the adventures of Connor MacLeod, and in which he will also correct “a mistake” according to which Connor himself was the only survivor.

“I think we have very good elements now,” Strahelski said. “The trick is when you have the motto ‘there can only be one’, you can’t kill everyone the first time. Our story deals with a lot of the same characters, but we also brought elements from the TV series.”
In the same way, Strahelski says he has ideas to create a more inclusive film. “You can take any kind of person and make them immortal to duel, and have them deal with the weight of immortality, that’s fucking cool.”
Obviously there is still no approximate date for the premiere of this project, which has been underway for almost ten years. In addition, the Hollywood actors’ and writers’ strike has probably upset the initial plans.
