The head of the IMF called a constructive conversation with Zelensky

The head of the IMF, in a telephone conversation with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, discussed the economic progress of Ukraine within the framework of the Fund’s program.

IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva called the conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy “very constructive”. She wrote about this on Twitter on Wednesday, July 28.

“A very constructive call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy about the successful economic progress of Ukraine within the framework of the IMF program,” Georgieva wrote.

She also expressed hope for productive work on outstanding issues during the visit of the Fund’s mission to Ukraine in September.

Earlier today, Zelensky said that Ukraine is ready to receive the IMF tranche… “We have started all the major reforms, they have been voted on,” the president stressed.
