The Image Readers Photo Club in Jenő is recruiting new club members

The Image Readers Photo Club Association, founded a year ago in 2022, currently boasts 23 members. In the year of their establishment, they finished as the best Hungarian club in the photo competition of the International Photographic Association. Last week, the association became a member of the National Association of Hungarian Photography Creative Groups.

Every Monday, they hold a club night, where they talk, analyze each other’s pictures, and regularly host guest speakers. Recently, the award-winning cinematographer of the film Heights and Depths was their guest and gave a lecture.

The association has a very strong professional background. Rudolf Kővári-Vágner is proud of the fact that they have a member who previously could hardly take photos and, as he says, has now become a very serious and recognized Street photographer, which also supports the professional development within the association.

This year they decided to give the opportunity for new members to join the club. Applicants are asked for a portfolio of ten pictures, which they analyze together with the management before being accepted. Of course, when the applicant has the potential and is really good, they are welcome in the club. According to the president of the association, there has not yet been anyone who has been refused.

At the international level, they also help those who join them with their applications, and they also call for their own applications, this year’s will be ready soon. The leaders of the association definitely want to recruit active club members who are constantly present in the life of the club.

The association currently has an exhibition in the Géza Gárdonyi Cultural Center in Székesfehérvár. At least one, but usually two, pictures of Izz association members are included among the exhibited photos. The exhibition can be viewed until April 24.
