Neither the proven danger: Three Mile Island, Chernobyl, Fukushima for the most serious and most publicized accidents and, for Switzerland, the narrowly avoided catastrophe at Lucens in 1969, nor the eternal mortgage on the future due to waste , fatal over several thousand years for barely four to five years of use of the fuel, neither the radioactivity releases measured around the power plants, nor the heating of the waterways used for cooling the reactors, nor the costs immense and crazy budget overruns, nor the obvious inefficiency of the system (repeated breakdowns, regular shutdown of power plants), nor the disproportionate impact on the environment of the infrastructure and “embodied energy” required , nor the risks of wars for the possession and exploitation of uranium deposits, nor even the basic absurdity of the principle: destruction of the environment and risk of death by irradiation of species and peoples, to… produce the steam!, nothing helps.
Driven by energy and money, our irrational society happily returns to its recent findings and will renege on its commitments in order to be able to further increase its dose, regardless of the consequences. While it is a question of preserving the conditions of existence in our only possible place of life, planet Earth, valiant experts respond in the short term, billions and terawatts.
When will the trials for preparing crimes against humanity and against the ecosystem of all pro-nuclear people take place?
