The identities of three missing persons in the sinking of the 339t-class large-scale fishing boat ‘127 Oceans’, which sank in Geoje, Gyeongnam on the 23rd, were confirmed.-

On the afternoon of the 23rd, the Tongyeong Maritime Police is conducting a night-time search for the missing person of the 127 Oceans, which sank 1.11 km (0.6 nautical miles) southeast of Galgot Island, Nam-myeon, Geoje-si, Gyeongsangnam-do. /yunhap news

Earlier, at around 3:57 pm on the same day, at 1.1 km southeast of Galgot Island, Nam-myeon, Geoje-si, Gyeongsangnam-do, the 127 Ocean Lake sank into the sea after flooding, and 7 out of 10 crew members were rescued and 3 were missing.

According to the Tongyeong Maritime Police, the missing persons were Captain Kim (67), engine manager Oh (68), and deckman Kim (55). Earlier, the coast guard rescued a total of seven people, including sailor Kim Mo (40) and Indonesian nationality D (31). They are all being treated at nearby hospitals, and they are known to have no harm to their lives.

According to the Coast Guard, the accident ship is now completely submerged in the sea, and it was confirmed that all 10 crew members were wearing safety vests at the time of the sinking.

The Coast Guard and the Navy mobilized 24 patrol boats and two aircraft to carry out extensive search work in 5 km around the sinking ship. However, it is known that the seascape and the like have a high wave height and a strong wind makes it difficult to search.
