According to the Tongyeong Maritime Police, the missing persons were Captain Kim (67), engine manager Oh (68), and deckman Kim (55).
There are seven rescuers, including sailor Kim Mo (40) and Indonesian nationality D (31). They are all being treated at a nearby hospital.
The coast guard said that all rescuers were in good health without any harm.
The coast guard confirmed that all 10 crew members wore safety vests at the time of the sinking.
The accident vessel is now completely submerged into the sea.
The Coast Guard and Navy mobilize 24 patrol boats and two aircraft to search for a wide range of 5 km (3 nautical miles) around the sinking ship.
An official from the Tongyeong Coast Guard said, “The wave height of the accident site is 2m to 3.5m, and the strong wind of 14m to 16m per second is in effect, making it difficult to search.”
In addition, the accident point is not far from the residential area, so it is not possible to use flares due to the risk of fire.
At 3:57 pm on the same day, 127 Oceans (339t class) sank into the sea after flooding 1.1 km southeast of Galgot Island, Nam-myeon, Geoje-si, Gyeongnam, and 7 out of 10 crew members were rescued and 3 were missing.
