Lip augmentation is one of the most popular aesthetic procedures on the face. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons’ annual report, nearly 1.4 million American women had lip injections last year alone.
What do the ideal lip proportions look like and what volume is currently trendy?
That shows one Study the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, which published the “Dailymail”.

A total of 59 women and men between the ages of 22 and 58 took part in the study. Methodologically, gaze assessments and aesthetic evaluations of lip images were carried out. The researchers asked the men and women to rate five pairs of lips of different sizes superimposed on the same woman’s face.
The results show that the ratio of 1:1.6 (meaning the lower lip is approximately 60 percent larger than the upper lip) was rated as the most attractive lip ratio. This proportion received 4.21 out of 5 possible points.
This means that naturalness is in vogue: ideals of beauty tend towards natural lip proportions and volume.
