40 years ago, at the 1983 Frankfurt Motor Show, the prototype of the Saab 900 Cabriolet was presented. Strongly desired by the Saab division in North America, where the discoveries were highly appreciated (and still are), the car would become a successful open top, different from the “usual” premium cars coming from the rest of Europe. For the Scandinavian brand, it is perhaps the most iconic car in its modern history, which ended prematurely at the beginning of the last decade, with all due respect to the many enthusiasts who still regret it today. We talk about modern convertibles from Saab in our picture gallery, where we trace their history: from 900 at 9-3.
