Billions of people around the world use Messenger. Hardly any other app can claim that. And yet many are not even aware that they are marked with the symbol of WhatsApp also have various functions available.
Anyone who has installed Messenger on their cell phone or tablet will be familiar with the green and white logo with the speech bubble. What many people don’t know: Instead of just tapping it briefly to open WhatsApp, you can also make a hidden function visible by pressing and holding it for a long time. Because behind the icon is another small menu.
Under Android you will find a shortcut to the camera. This will be displayed first at the top and is marked “Camera”. Directly below, the menu lists your last or most frequently used contacts. This can be one or up to three people. In addition, there are the features:
- Install widgets
- Delete app
- app information
On the other hand, if you have an iPhone or iOS uses, you will see a slightly different selection of functions next to the camera shortcut:
- Show QR code
- Delete app
- search chat
- Edit start screen
