The ICHH continues its blood donation campaign in La Palma

The Canary Islands Institute of Hemodonation and Hemotherapy (ICHH), dependent on the Department of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands, continues with its donation campaign in La Palma, this week, in the municipalities of El Paso and Los Llanos de Aridane, it indicates in a press release.

The extraction team will be attending to El Paso donors on Monday, together with City Hall, from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and tomorrow from 9:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.

From September 24 to 27, the collection point will be moved to Los Llanos de Aridane, on Doctor Fleming Avenue. Here, donations can be made on Tuesdays from 4:45 p.m. to 9:15 p.m., Wednesdays through Thursdays from 9:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. and from 4:15 p.m. to 9:15 p.m., and on Fridays from 9:15 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.

Where to donate in La Palma

The La Palma University Hospital, on Buenavista de Arriba street, without a number, in Breña Alta, has a fixed extraction point where you can donate from Monday to Thursday from 10:00 to 20:00 and on Fridays from 10:00 to 15:30. It will be closed on Saturdays and on Sundays you can donate from 13:00 to 20:00. The telephone numbers are 922 185 321 and 922 185 320 (you can come to donate with or without an appointment).

Requirements to give

To donate blood, the note states, you must be between eighteen and 65 years old (up to sixty if it is your first donation), weigh more than fifty kilos, be in good general health and not be pregnant.
