The ICHH reminds the population that donations can be made at fixed and temporary collection points and at SCS hospitals
The Canarian Institute of Hemodonation and Hemotherapy (ICHH), dependent on the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands, launches an urgent appeal to the population of blood group 0+, to come and donate blood in order to maintain stock levels of the Canary Transfusion Center and to carry out a correct attention of the hospital demand.
Blood donation is a fundamental pillar for the normal functioning of the health system, as it is a unique product that cannot be manufactured but depends exclusively on the generous, altruistic and responsible donation of people who meet the requirements to be donors. On the other hand, the expiration of blood components makes it absolutely essential to maintain a regular number of donations throughout the year.
