The Imam Khomeini Cultural Centers Association commemorated the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) at its center in the town of Taria, with an intellectual symposium entitled “The Husseini Renaissance is a ray that will not be extinguished,” attended by social and cultural figures, professors and university graduates.
Sheikh Majid Saqr (imam of Hadath Mosque in Baalbek) lectured at the symposium, and he focused his lecture on the unity of the divine journey of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and the Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him), in calling to God and confronting injustice.
As for Father Archimandrite George Maalouf, head of the Diwan of the Greek Orthodox Archbishopric of Zahle and Baalbek, he pointed to the character of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) who rejected injustice and his courageous stand of faith in the face of the tyrant Yazid.
