It got here, but no longer for 40-year-old Krister Johannessen, who in this season of “The hunt for love” has tried to find love with Sigrid Tolsby (33).
– It’s not something we can force, so it’s okay, he says in Wednesday’s episode of the programme.
The farmer from Aremark says that she does not have the right feelings for Johannessen, and therefore chooses to send him home from the farm.
– Full of blood
– Of course I’m a little disappointed. I feel I have more to show and I don’t feel we got the time we deserved. I think that Sigrid is still a wonderful lady, but she has to do what is right for her, says the suitor further in the episode.
He also says that he has never stopped believing in love.
– So I will still be looking out there.

– Relieved and disappointed
In front of Dagbladet, Johannessen tells that he took the decision of not being able to continue with his composure.
– I had expected that I would be the next one to go out. The other two boys were probably longer in the process of developing feelings for Sigrid than I was, he points out, and adds:
– I was also aware that I needed some initiative back, if the relationship was to go any further. It is important to me.
“The hunt” farmer reveals good news
According to Johannessen, he and Tolsby were very different people, which only became clearer to him after a long chat with her before the selection.
– I was both relieved, but also a little disappointed. I wanted to get to know Sigrid better, but I understand that when it is on a more friendly level, that was not what the program was supposed to be about. And then there was definitely more to be gained from the other two boys, he says.

Grateful
He looks back on the participation as both educational and exciting, and says that he developed as a person and when it comes to relationships with other people.
He is also grateful to his twin brother who signed him up for “The Hunt for Love”.
– Does he wish for this
Responding
When asked if there is something he has reacted to with his participation, Johannessen says honestly that the suitors, who are a large part of the programme, are not included in what happened when the filming was over.
– Premiere party and various things we had to arrange even if we were to have something, he says.
According to the 40-year-old, unimaginable hours of material were recorded, which “had much more substance than what appears on the screen”.

– But that’s just the way it should be. A bit disappointing, he says.
– I also brought this up by saying that I thought there was a bit too much drinking in the programme. In any case, I was one of those people who did not want to sit in front of the camera and be influenced by anything other than my own presence. For every date that was to be carried out, dinner or other activities, there was sparkling water, he says further.
Quit the job – ordered chickens
Johannessen points out that he can understand that “it’s such a stressful and demanding setting that it’s nice to have a drink”, but that he “likes to see people for who they are, and not in a drunken state”.
Moderation
Press manager at TV 2, Jan-Petter Dahl, tells Dagbladet that “The hunt for love” this year, like all previous years, has had a premiere party only for the production crew and the farmers.
– All suitors have been informed of this in advance of production. We think it’s very nice that some suitors have chosen to gather family and friends for their own premiere parties, says Dahl.

He also points out that TV 2 is very understanding that participants have opinions about events not being included in the finished programme.
– Unfortunately, this is how it is in TV productions where we have hundreds of hours of footage to be cut together for the individual episodes.
According to Dahl, the channel is also concerned with moderation in all its productions.
– In cases where alcohol is served, non-alcoholic alternatives are always readily available. This has also been the case during the recording of this year’s season of “The hunt for love”.
Made a claim for TV 2
Open to love
Following the participation, Johannessen has a lot of contact with the other suitors.
– We have our own snapchat group where we share everything and nothing. We became a nice group, I think. I also visited Kristoffer this summer. We are planning a weekend in Oslo for those suitors who can, in week 39. I am looking forward to that, he says.
However, he has had no contact with the farmer after the programme.

When it comes to his love life after “The Hunt”, Johannessen says that this summer he has taken it completely to heart when it comes to dating and the like.
– It was nice to just calm down and cultivate yourself. You give yourself up so much in the program, so it is important to process everything afterwards. At least that’s how I am.
– I sacrificed myself
The 40-year-old is still single, but definitely looking for love, he reveals.
– I never give up finding it. And I really think I deserve it too. Maybe there is someone who dares to take the initiative after this session? In any case, I hope that the journey does not end here.
