The Hungarian women’s U20 handball team beat the Swedish team 33-25 in the world championship match in Slovenia, thus junior. Kiss Szilrd’s team made it to Finland, where they will meet with Norwegian team.

The Hungarian team is playing in poor form at the Slovenian World Cup. So far, our team has won six out of six games at the tournament in Slovenia, jr. On Thursday, Szilrd Kiss’ team beat the Danish team 31-26, which was the closest match of the Hungarian national team at the World Cup.
At the beginning of the first half, both players pressed, the teams went head-to-head in the first five minutes, this happened for the first time in seven, that the Swedes gained a double advantage, which Blanka Kajdon quickly cut down with a pass of great strength. However, the Swedes remained in momentum, and after a quarter they were already ahead (5-8), gy jr. Little Szilrd asked for a while. The tactical briefing also brought the result, because five minutes later, after Borbla Ballai’s jump shot, the score was already tied (10-10), and then the master of the Swedes called a time-out. However, in the continuation, after Dina Ferenczy’s cross from the right, we had the advantage. Even after this, our team remained in momentum, and were able to go to the final with a one-point lead (15-14), after Zsigmond Panna saved a jump shot with his feet at the last moment.
After the turn, the Swedes were the first to score, but the best of the match, Johanna Farkas, quickly restored the one-point difference after a sensational attack. The attack was great for the Hungarian team, but the defense was not organized enough, and the Swedes were constantly able to fight back, and after seven minutes they even took the lead.
This was won by a goalie change on our part – which was also used in the previous match – and Anna Bukovszky came into the game early, and Borbla Besszer threw three goals in five minutes, and soon we had the advantage (22-20), the and svdek asked for time. In the continuation, Bukovszky shocked the Swedes with two more great saves, but the Hungarian goalkeeper had no counter to an indefensible seven-pointer (22-21).
Six minutes before the end of the game, Vmos scored against Már after Ballai’s pass (27-24), and the Hungarian bench responded with determination, and a minute later, Vmos flashed again, creating the biggest difference between the two teams up to that point.
In the last minutes, the Hungarian team succeeded in almost everything, and the Swedes were completely defeated, so we didn’t have to worry at all in the final.
Johanna Farkas scored 11, Borbla Ballai scored six, Borbla Besszer scored four, and Anna Bukovszky scored eight.
The Hungarian U20 national team won a fantastic victory and reached the final of the World Championship, where they will face the Norwegian team on Sunday.
