The family day begins in the morning with the family treasure hunt program “In Search of Ancient Treasures”, where the participants can discover the thousands of years of history of the Carpathian Basin in a joint team game, the institution said in a statement on Thursday.
With the treasure hunting worksheets, families can go through the museum’s archeology exhibition on their own.
In the morning, a live museum program titled The Three Wishes of the Princess begins, where children are invited to take a trip back in time. In the game, you will have to collect the most valuable treasures from the three most distant corners of the country.
Poncolj with us! children who want to test their dexterity are welcome to the program, as during the session there is an opportunity to get to know objects from the time of the conquest and to try out the punching technique. Punching is a process that decorates the surface of goldsmith’s objects with repetitive motifs. Participants in the session can create representations of 10th-century objects, reconstructing individual elements of the metalwork of that time. You can register for the program from the morning.
Among the interactive demonstrations, György Lengyel, a Hungarian specialist in stone tools, introduces visitors to the making of clicked stone tools. Visitors can participate in this program every half hour.
