“The war in Ukraine is becoming more and more brutal and more and more people are dying in the fighting. It is necessary to save people’s lives, and this is only possible in peace,” said the head of Hungarian diplomacy on the social network.
“Obviously, many will criticize me for this visit,” Szijjártó wrote about his trip to Belarus. “Our position is clear: communication channels need to be kept open. If it were not so, I would not be able to present the call for peace today,” added the minister, who is one of the few representatives of the governments of EU member states to visit Russia.
