The Hummer returns as a 1000 hp electric pickup

Developed on a new modular platform, the GMC Hummer EV is equipped with three electric motors and 18 video surveillance cameras around the body perimeter. It is a four-door pickup truck with a five-seater cabin and a removable roof.

The reach of an electric pickup alone indicates that it has an 800 volt battery that can be charged with up to 350 kilowatts of power. By connecting to such a fast charging station, it is possible to get energy for 160 kilometers in 10 minutes. In addition, the battery pack is in an airtight housing, so the manufacturer guarantees that the electric Hummer can be driven up to a depth of 60 centimeters.

The 1014 hp GMC Hummer EV will accelerate from 60 mph (96 km / h) in three seconds to a supercar. Later, more affordable versions of the electric Hummer with more civilian power will be available.

The electric Hummer will go into production next fall in Detroit. The powerful GMC Hummer EV will cost from 112 thousand dollars (94 thousand euros).

It is recalled that Hummer ceased production in 2010 due to the global economic turmoil.
