Scaffolding and some construction machinery have appeared in recent days, as part of the major construction site that is looming to create a footbridge between the Tarare station and the forecourt of the North West hospital.
The work should last 12 months, according to SNCF Réseau, which is the project owner. This large footbridge, which will rise above the SNCF tracks, will be equipped with lifts for people with reduced mobility. It will allow direct access to train users who have an appointment at the hospital.
In the coming weeks, the start of this work, estimated at 3.8 million euros, will be given with the civil engineering site (the foundations). The weekend of October 23, a spectacular operation is scheduled with the arrival of the gangway decks, which will be crane on the supports already in place.
