A teacher who was entitled to an impressive guard of honor on the day of her retirement. She was accompanied by all the staff and students of Alice Mosnier college in Fortschwihr, east of Colmar, or nearly 800 people.
And this to cheers and applause. Something to move in the depths of herself Françoise Moulin, the teacher.
“I can’t even tell you what I felt because the emotion was so strong. There were the students, their teachers for whom I also have a lot of affection”, remembers the professor.

On the video, for more than 5 minutes the PE teacher crosses a compact crowd of students who cheer her on, offer her flowers. Three weeks later, Françoise Moulin still can’t get over it. “I know the students liked me and I get along well with all the colleagues, but hey afterwards, I did my job like everyone else, I’m not the only one to deserve this kind of departure“, she says.
Dedication to all teachers
These are the colleagues of the PE teacher who organized everything that day, with the help of Principal Delphine Bourcet. “When she left the gymnasium, she found herself in a guard of honor with the 750 students. She was cheered by everyone, because everyone wanted to be there. She is an exceptional teacher, always in a good mood, always positive, she was always to support the students, to have ambition for them, she was a very very beautiful teacher, whom we will regret, but who sowed the seeds“, explains the principal.
The video of the departure of the PE teacher, she, keep making a hit to the astonishment of the latter. “I don’t know if it’s really about me, but it’s mostly symbolic. In a time when we are a little roughed up, it feels good“, says Françoise Moulin.
Before adding: “If this really moved people and they liked it, I dedicate this guard of honor to all teachers. Because being a teacher is a vocation so it would be really nice if it happened for everyone“, she says.
