Check the boxes
Great value for money, the D 15 i3 offers a full range of features that those working from home need.
Starting with the FullView screen, a large 15.6 ″ FullHD (1920 x 1080) display sits front and center with an impressive 87% screen-to-body ratio. The thin edges match an equally sleek metal frame that is lightweight at 1.53kg.
The big real estate display also lends itself to the collaboration tools that Huawei has integrated into the MateBook range ecosystem, including the ability to share content from one Huawei device to another seamlessly and without cables through Huawei Share.
Other handy tools include the power button with integrated fingerprint sensor, adding a layer of security to the D 15 i3 and ensuring that prying eyes do not gain access to your device.

Under the skin
As for how Huawei has configured the laptop internally, as the name suggests, Intel silicon is present, with a 10th generation Core i3-10110U processor doing the heavy lifting. Added to this is an integrated graphics card, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of NVMe PCIe SSD. The latter offers fast response times and guarantees the D 15 i3 a combination of speed and power.
While the laptop will likely be desktop-bound given the current climate, if portability is an important consideration down the line, the MateBook D 15 i3 is well-equipped thanks to a 42 Wh battery that offers up to eight hours of autonomy. As such, if you have to work on the go or if the power supply is unreliable in your area, the D 15 i3 won’t leave you hanging.
