An app called Houseparty, which became very popular during the epidemic last year, will be discontinued.
Houseparty was invented for video call contact, and in the first wave of the coronavirus epidemic, 50 million people registered for it in a month. The app is owned by the same company as Fortnite, and video chat rooms have also been integrated into the game.
The owner, Epic Games, said the developers are working to create a platform through which authentic social connections can be made.
