The White House today released an uncut footage of an interview between President Donald Trump and 60 Minutes reporter Lesley Stahl, from whom Trump left prematurely on set due to a journalist’s alleged bias, which he threatened with unspecified retaliation. According to Reuters, the presidential office thus violated the agreement with CBS television, according to which the interview was not to be published until the weekend as part of a special pre-election episode, which will also include an interview with the Democratic candidate Joe Biden.
“Take a look at the bias, hatred and audacity that (show) 60 Minutes and CBS show,” wrote Trump on twitter. He added that Kristen Welker, the moderator of today’s (Friday’s CET) second and last pre-election debate with Biden, will be “far worse”.
Trump shared in the post a link to a video that contains only one shot of the president. However, the record contains questions from the presenter and sometimes other people in the room.
