Hello everyone and welcome to our LIVE LIVE of the eleventh stage of the Giro d’Italia 2021: the Perugia-Montalcino, 162 kilometers long. Named Wine Stage of this edition of the Corsa Rosa, today’s fraction is characterized by a challenging route with an altitude that presents almost 2500 meters in altitude, with 4 sectors of dirt road which as a whole they propose 35 kilometers of dirt roads in the last 70.
The first sector of ‘white roads’ will be that of Torrenieri at kilometer 93.2. Exceeded Buonconvento e Bibbiano, will meet the second dirt sector of Castiglion del Bosco (km 110), as well as the flying finish line, which presents a level crossing before crossing the Ombrone stream. Subsequently, the double climb to the Passo del Lume Spento, Third category GPM almost all in dirt, which will be tackled from two different sides. The first measures 13 kilometers at 3.6% with peaks of 16% in its first part; all on dirt roads until the last kilometer before the brow.

After Tavernelle the road will rise markedly until it reaches the GPM of the Passo del Lume Spento with its 9.3 kilometers at 4.6% with peaks of 12% in the final part on asphalt, to then reach the finish line.
On this day as a Classica, Italy could play some excellent chances with great experts of the caliber of David formolam (UAE Team Emirates) and the winner of the Tour of Flanders 2019 Alberto Bettiol (EF Education Nippo). The first, among other things, is just over a minute late from the top of the general commanded by Egan Bernal (Ineos Grenadiers). Bettiol, on the other hand, showed up at the Corsa Rosa with a good condition, especially uphill, which, combined with his great ability as a finisseur, on his home roads, could prove to be the winning key of the day.

Speaking of other finisseurs of the day, the triumph of Foligno should not be excluded Peter Sagan (Bora-hansgrohe) if not the blues Gianni Moscon (Ineos Grenadiers), Gianluca Brambilla (Trek-Segafredo), Andrea Vendrame (AG2R Citroen Team) e Fabio Felline (Astana-Premier Tech).
