Congestion horror occurred on Jalan Mampang Prapatan Raya in the direction of the Kuningan area, South Jakarta on Monday morning. The congestion caused car and motorcycle drivers to break through the special TransJakarta bus lane.
It was announced on Monday (1/30/2023) morning at 09.00 WIB, on Jalan Mampang Prapatan Raya, congestion already happened before the Duren Tiga intersection. Kapolsek Mampang Prapatan Kompol Masyhuri said the congestion was the result of a demonstration at the Dutch Embassy.
Initially, a number of motorbikes were seen stopping on the side of the road to take shelter from the rain in the Mampang area. There are also motorists who are seen continuing their journey even though it is raining. In addition, motorbikes and cars break through the special TransJakarta lanes due to the dense volume of vehicles. The actions of these motorists hampered TransJakarta buses when they were about to stop at bus stops.
Congestion also seen on the Mampang-Brass Underpass. Apart from that, traffic on Jalan Terusan HR Rasuna Said in the direction of Jalan Gatot Subroto was also observed to be jammed. Traffic on Jalan Duren Tiga Raya too congested before the traffic light on Jalan Mampang Prapatan Raya. Congestion also occurred on a number of other roads connected to Jalan Mampang Prapatan Raya.
TransJ explanation
The TransJakarta party provided an explanation regarding the TransJakarta bus route which was intruded by a number of drivers on Jalan Mampang Prapatan Raya heading for the Kuningan area, South Jakarta. TransJakarta explained, congested This was due to a demonstration at the Dutch Embassy.
“The traffic jam was caused by a demonstration at the Dutch Embassy,” said the Head of the Transjakarta Corporate Secretary Division, Anang Rizkani Noor, to journalists, Monday (30/1/2023).
Severe traffic jams in the Mampang Prapatan area were observed at 09.00 WIB. Anang explained that TransJakarta opened a water barrier at Kuningan Barat as an effort to reduce traffic congestion.
“What we are doing is opening the Kuningan Barat water barrier towards Dukuh Atas so that those on the slow lane can keep going,” said Anang.
Traffic jams as a result of demonstrations at the Swedish Embassy
A severe traffic jam occurred on Jalan Mampang Prapatan Raya heading to Kuningan, South Jakarta, this morning. The traffic jam was caused by a demonstration at the Swedish Embassy office, Kuningan area, South Jakarta.
